After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is ready for more freedom, and Tom and Maddie agree to leave him home while they go on vacation. But, no sooner are they gone, when Dr. Robotnik comes back, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to both build and destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.


Sonic Prime releases April 8th, 2022.
Sonic Prime is described as a "high octane adventure" following Sonic and his race to save a "strange new multiverse". The show is also described as a "journey of self-discovery and redemption." Accordingly, the show takes place on the same settings seen in the Sonic games and will feature Modern Sonic.

The Shatterverse is an alias for the concept of the multiverse, which will be featured in the upcoming 2022 series Sonic Prime.

The protagonist to this series, Sonic the Hedgehog, will travel through various universes via the Shatterverse to save it, also finding moments of self-discovery and redemption.[1]
